Growing up in Russia and Germany, Alex Einz has been exposed to many
sub-genres of Electronica from a very early age.
Due to the underground
rave scene in Russia at the time, Alex Einz found inspiration from the
sounds of 808 State, Juno Reactor, Plastikman, and Leftfield, amongst
others.
As a DJ, he has been able to fuse together these influences and push
his very own take on electronica by constantly pushing the boundaries
within a club environment with his deep techno grooves keeping true to
his musical orientation. Alex Einz has been playing and supporting the
underground scene since his early days in Israel and continues with an
experimental brand of techno music that showcases his talents both
musically and technically as respected DJ.
Through his regular DJ spot on the legendary pirate radio station
Periscope FM, he met then local techno DJ Ido Govrin and together they
established the "12 inch Junkies" vinyl shop in downtown Jerusalem.
Later they went on to form the House duo "Decoit'e" and got signed to
Chicago based record label Bumpin City with their first EP but it was
never released due to the label's financial problems so they split in
2001.
Having guest DJ'ed throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East for
many years he is now heavily involved in the Tokyo club scene with his
label "DiSKOBiSKiT" (with Mike McKenna) and his clubnight "Phonica"
(with Groove Patrol and Mark Oxley) which aims to consistently forge
the paths of house and techno in Tokyo with a healthy mix of Japanese
and international DJs.
Alex Einz has also made regular guest slots at >R-R-R, SHiFT, 42 beats, Hi-Fi, M1NT, Volar, Noraneco and Konspiracy records.
In addition to working as a Mastering Engineer for labels such as
Benchmark, Erase and Underground Lessons Alex Einz will soon be
releasing the "Made in Japan" EP on Underground Lessons Digital.
